Education Funding

Why is it important? Well, right now we are...correction, the middle class and poor are facing economic issues that are preventing us from spending for extras and necessities, another expense that is becoming more difficult is higher education. We have less money and higher education continues to become more expensive. Republicans want to cut or at least put less emphasis on education spending. Why is this the wrong direction to go to especially during this indefinite crisis? If fewer people start going and graduating from colleges and universities, than our next couple of generations will have fewer scientists, educators, leaders in both political and financial sectors, etc. This is what the G.I. Bill prevented, during the depression, it was also very difficult to attain higher education. What would happen? Well one thing that can possible happen is that all these higher education attained positions become scarce, therefore possibly increasing the price for these services and when you already have a majority in low paying jobs (due to less higher education) this makes it more difficult to have access to these services.
